Toronto's Pearson airport adds two new high-end eateries

TORONTO - Passengers flowing through Canada's busiest airport, Toronto's Pearson International, have two new high-end eateries to nosh at.

Fetta Panini Bar helmed by Mark McEwan and Devin Connell's Heirloom Bakery Cafe are now open in the airport's Terminal 1.

Diners at both restaurants can browse a menu on an iPad in one of 12 languages.

Fetta Panini Bar has a breakfast menu that ranges from $4 for a toasted bagel with preserves, cream cheese or butter to $15 for a pork belly BLT panini.

After 11 a.m., the menu includes starters, salads, paninis and desserts, with sandwiches ranging between $10 to $15.50.

Heirloom Bakery Cafe, which focuses on using local ingredients, serves up a small all-day breakfast menu — including the five-spice brioche french toast for $12 — and salads and sandwiches from $12 to $16. There's also a selection of baked goods including croissants, gluten-free flourless chocolate brownies and raspberry flax seed muffins, priced between $3 and $5.
