Winnipeg Free Press offers Asessippi ski trip

The Free Press is again offering trips to Asessippi Ski area and resort on Saturdays in February and March.

The cost for each day trip is $129. That includes transportation with Beaver Bus Lines, coffee, donut and -- naturally -- a newspaper on the morning drive, lift tickets, rental equipment, lunch and Subway sandwiches on the ride home. There's a $5 discount for Free Press PressCard holders and a $5 discount for those who bring their own equipment.

Lessons are available for an extra $10.

The first trip is Feb. 6, and they run each Saturday until March 20.

Registration is at 5:30 a.m., bus leaves at 6 a.m. Trip returns to the Free Press building at 1355 Mountain Avenue at about 8:30 p.m.
