BARRIE, Ont. - A Barrie, Ont., student will likely be more careful making calls on his cellphone in the future.
Police say they received a 911 call from the student's cellphone while he was at school and he was rude an unco-operative when the dispatcher called him back.
This prompted police to send an officer to the school on Monday afternoon to determine if there was a problem.
Following an investigation, the student wasn't returned to class — he was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property.
Investigators say the 911 call occurred when the student accidentally hit the emergency button on his phone.
