Women on snowmobiles riding 1,800 kilometres to raise cash for breast cancer

Ten women snowmobilers are riding 1,800 kilometres and stopping in 32 Saskatchewan cities and towns to raise cash for breast cancer research.

It's the 13th annual ride by the group known as Prairie Women on Snowmobiles and it's going on all week.

The women welcome other riders who want to join them for a full day or for just one leg of the trip.

Anybody who wants to ride with the women or track their progress can check the group's website.

President Carol McKnight says the ride is also intended to promote safe snowmobiling.

Since it began, the Ride for the Cure has raised about $1.8 million for cancer research.
