Kim Wilson has joined Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg as director, fund development. With 20 years of sales, marketing, fundraising and management experience, Wilson will be responsible for developing and maintaining donor and sponsor relations, marketing, communications, and other fundraising efforts. Habitat for Humanity builds safe and affordable housing for low-income working families.

Tony Warzel has been appointed portfolio manager of Rival Capital’s newly launched RRSP-eligible North American Growth fund.

Jeff Pniowsky has joined Thompson Dorman Sweatman LLP (TDS) as a member of its tax and litigation groups. Formerly a senior tax litigator with the federal department of Justice in Winnipeg for almost 10 years, Pniowsky will continue his practice in the areas of tax disputes and complex commercial litigation as well as tax-planning and advisory services.

Claims Association of Manitoba announces its board of executives for 2009: Charlie Lalonde, rehabilitation specialist with the Healthcare Employees’ Benefits Plan, is president; Diane Boutroucas, functional rehabilitation specialist with Manulife Financial, is vice-president; Darlene Pereira, case manager with Manitoba Public Insurance, is treasurer; Erin O’ Brien, life and WI claims specialist with Manitoba Blue Cross; Richard Broadhurst, supervisor with the Healthcare Employees’ Benefits Plan; Lisa Frailick, disability case manager with Manulife Financial; Melody Erskine, disability case manager with Manitoba Blue Cross.
