The province has closed a 95-year-old bridge over the La Salle River river in Sanford.

The deteriorating bridge, on PR 247 just southwest of Winnipeg, had a 14-tonne weight restriction.  Signage and barricades are redirecting traffic to the newer intersection on Highway 3.
