SDLqI'm reading Dionne Brand's Love Enough, a novel whose tone is set in the first line: 'The best way of looking at a summer sunset in this city is in the rear-view mirror.' Each character dances around the city, taking us into subway stations, taxis, ferries and on car rides along the Don Valley Parkway. Brand's writing is sharply poetic; she dives into the character's lives, and we follow the awkward choices they make.SDRq
