"Last week, after a week of intense engagement with the book, I finished reading The World of Normal Boys by Karl Soehnlein. This is the story of a gay teenager making sense of his identity beyond just his sexuality, set in the 1970s. The story is gripping and an incredibly easy read. So much of the story is still so applicable today and echoes the challenges of LGBT youth growing up now."
