GRAMMY Award-winning singer Diane Schuur will perform with the Brandon University Jazz Ensemble for two nights of concerts as part of the Brandon Jazz Festival March 19 and 20.
Schuur won her second Grammy for her 1987 album Diane Schuur with the Count Basie Orchestra, and those Basie collaborations are what the BU band, directed by Michael Cain, have been rehearsing for the four-show run, which takes place at the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium.
Schuur plays two sets, at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., on both March 19 and 20. Tickets, which sell for $32, or $28 in groups of 10 or more, are available at wcma.com or by calling 204-728-9510.
