Shattered is a powerful, interactive theatrical journey exploring the issue of mental health among youth. Sarasvàti Productions is excited to tour this brand new work created about and with youth who have struggled with eating disorders, depression, anxiety and self-harm. For those who can't catch it in a high school we are offering a public preview to raise funds for the tour. Join us at Graffiti Gallery on October 6th at 7pm with opening remarks from Bonnie Bricker, Director of the Family Navigation Program at Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba. Tickets are $10. The play is truly the story of youth. In Sarasvàti Productions’ tradition, they worked closely with community groups to realize the work. The work comes out of a larger two year mental health project. It features GeNie Baffoe, Oyindamola Alaka, Kelsey Funk, Lindsay Johnson, Reena Jolly, Thomas Toles, Jacob Unica and Erica Wilson. Directed by Hope McIntyre with assistant director Hailey Charney; Stage Manager Erin Cunningham; and sound design by James Thurmeier. Shattered will tour from October 11th to December 9th to schools in Winnipeg and surrounding areas. We are still accepting bookings!
