Long before discovering a passion for interviewing and writing to deadline, Eva was taking in plays, dance performances and concerts on stages across Winnipeg. That early introduction to the local arts and culture scene has inspired a lifelong interest.
Eva holds a joint communications degree from the University of Winnipeg and Red River College. After graduating in 2015, she worked a stint as a multimedia reporter at the now-shuttered Metro Winnipeg before heading out west to report on healthcare, First Nations affairs, entertainment and everything in-between for The Brandon Sun. While at the Sun, Eva helped create an EPPY Award-winning project about Second World War veterans.
She returned to reporting in Winnipeg with the other Metro newspaper (of the Canstar Community News variety) before joining the Winnipeg Free Press as an arts reporter in 2019.
