A Winnipeg man has been charged in the aftermath of the country’s largest music and movie video piracy raid a year ago.

Rajdeep Singh Ramgotra, 32, was charged with 52 offences under the Copyright Act, involving the manufacture and sale of pirated music CDs and movie DVDs.

The RCMP raided the Pembina Highway offices of Audiomaxxx  the morning of March 5, 2008, where police seized about 100,000  pirated CDs and DVDs that were labelled and ready for shipment.

Three other people were arrested in the raid but the RCMP said today that those individuals will not be charged.

Ramgotra is expected to make his first court appearance June 8.
