WINNIPEG — Winnipeggers Saturday morning woke up to icy roads, a wicked west wind that made it feel like -10 C, a big dump of snow and word that more snow might be on its way — a prediction fulfilled when flurries fell on the city Saturday night.
Environment Canada says there’s a 30 per cent chance of more flurries Sunday.
Saturday, a snowfall warning remains in effect for the eastern part of the province near the Ontario border.

After the first snow storm of the season stunned motorists Friday night, police were reminding drivers to be careful .
"Due to the weather, roadways in and around the City of Winnipeg have become very slippery, specifically overpasses and bridges," said Winnipeg Police Service Const. Jason Michalyshen. "We are encouraging motorists to drive according to the present conditions."
On Friday night, 20 vehicles were involved in a collision on the Henderson Highway side of the Red River Bridge on the Perimeter Highway.
There were 15 cars involved in a collision at Lagimodiere Boulevard and Regent Avenue. Because of the slippery conditions, Winnipeg police closed Lagimodiere from Warman Road to Grassie Boulevard for about an hour until sanding vehicles could arrive.
There was a two-vehicle collision at Dugald Road and the Perimeter Highway, and north of the city, several vehicles collided on Highway 59 near the Lockport turnoff. One vehicle was flipped over and lying on its roof right on the highway.
RCMP reported another vehicle had been spotted in a ditch on Highway 67 near Stonewall.
The road conditions remained poor this morning, but there were no major crashes in the city, Winnipeg police said.
"We are not currently investigating any serious motor vehicle collisions and there are not road closures within the city as a result of the weather," said Michalyshen. "However, road conditions are presently less than ideal, and as a result the WPS is requesting motorists to use caution."
