CJOB’s Charles Adler will host a national television show on the new Sun TV station, Mayor Sam Katz and Quebecor Media executives announced this morning.

The announcement happened at the ballpark, home of Katz’s Goldeyes. Asked why he was involved in the announcement, Katz said he was there to herald the jobs created by Adler’s show and new studio facilities to be built.

Neither Katz nor Luc Lavioe, Quebecor’s head of development, could say how many jobs would be created or offer a ballpark guess.

“I’m not going to ballpark it,” said Lavoie. “We’re in a ballpark now.”

Adler said he would continue his national chat show on CJOB and host the television show in the evening.
