A 61-year-old Niverville man has drowned after his vehicle skidded off a flooded road on Friday.
An RCMP underwater recovery team located the man’s body Saturday afternoon. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
RCMP say their investigation revealed he had tried to cross a flooded portion of road in the RM of De Salaberry when his vehicle left the road and sank.
There were no other people or vehicles involved in the accident. The man’s identity has not been released.
