Hey, Manitoba: we have been named the Slurpee Capital of the World for the 14th straight year by 7-Eleven.
We might not have the Grey Cup or the Stanley Cup but we’re getting the Slurpee Capital Trophy Cup — and 7-Eleven officials say you can hoist it.
As part of its 44th birthday celebrations, 7-Eleven is hosting the first-ever Slurpee Capital Trophy Cup Tour beginning Thursday.

Thursday will also be free Slurpee day as 7-Eleven will give away 1,500, 12-ounce Slurpee drinks at each of its stores across Manitoba. A press release said that is 78,000 Slurpees across Manitoba.
Slurpee-lovers can see the Slurpee Capital Trophy Cup and get a photo hoisting the Cup, something you can’t do with the Stanley Cup or Grey Cup unless you are a member of the winning teams.
The official tour kickoff is on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the 7-Eleven store located at 3380 Portage Avenue and Rouge Road.
The Cup will also be at:
- 12 noon – 1200 Jefferson Ave and Sheppard store
- 1:30p .m.– 1131 Nairn & Stapleton store
- 3:00 p.m.– 1622 St. Mary’s and River store
- 4:30 p.m.– 628 St. Anne’s Rd. and St. Mary’s store
