The Winnipeg Jets have re-signed defenceman Zach Redmond to a one-year, two-way contract.
Redmond had a 1 goal and 3 assists in just 8 games with the Jets in 2012-13, his first year in the NHL, before he was sidelined after sustaining a horrific cut to his leg. Redmond returned near the end of the season to play two games in St. John’s with the IceCaps.
The Jets announced Saturday afternoon that Redmond’s deal will pay him $715,000 at the NHL level in 2013-14.
