Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Morden, Winkler, and the R.M. of Stanley.

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. An upper level disturbance is moving into southwestern Manitoba this evening and has triggered another round of thunderstorms in the area. There is potential for some of these thunderstorms to become severe through the evening hours, said Environment Canada.

Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required. Please continue to monitor your local media or Weatheradio for further updates. If you would like to report severe weather, you can call 1-800-239-0484 or send an email to storm@ec.gc.ca or tweet reports to #MBStorm.
