News and talk radio is still No. 1 among Winnipeg radio listeners, according to the latest Numeris ratings released Thursday.
CJOB-68 maintained top spot on the city’s radio ladder after rebounding from a disappointing spring ratings period. The Numeris statistics show CJOB caught the ears of 13.6 per cent of the city’s radio audience, up from 12.0 per cent in the spring ratings.
Second place is CBC Radio One, which rose to 12.8 per cent from 11.7 per cent in the spring.
Combined, the two predominantly news and talk stations combine for more than one-quarter of the city’s radio listenership.
Here are the numbers that Numeris has compiled for Winnipeg radio station listenership, aged 12 and up (spring 2014 numbers are in parentheses):
- CJOB-68 13.6% (12.0)
- CBC Radio One: 12.8 (11.7)
- QX-104: 9.8 (9.1)
- 103.1 Virgin: 8.3 (7.0)
- 92 CITI FM: 6.6 (7.9)
- 99.9 BOB FM: 5.8 (6.8)
- Energy 106: 5.3 (4.3)
- 102.3 Clear FM: 5.0 (6.5)
- FAB 94.3 FM: 5.0 (5.5)
- CBC Radio Two: 3.4 (3.5)
- TSN 1290: 3.2 (3.5)
- Power 97: 2.6 (4.2)
- 99.1 Fresh FM 2.2 (2.0)
- Jewel 101 FM: 1.8 (1.2)
