CTV continues to hold a seemingly insurmountable lead in the local TV-news ratings race, according to figures released this week by Numeris.

The Numeris Spring 2016 Ratings Report shows that CTV News at Six attracted an average audience of 103,900 in the 6-6:30 p.m. slot, a slight increase from its viewership of 100,200 in the spring 2015 ratings. CBC Winnipeg News drew 39,800 viewers, a significant jump from 31,100 in last year’s measurement, and Global News at 6 averaged 31,800 viewers, a decline from last year’s figure of 39,200.

The spring 2016 ratings survey was conducted during the weeks of Feb. 18-24, March 3-9 and March 17-23.
