Brett Cameron's career with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers proved to be a lot shorter than his father, Bob's.

The younger Cameron -- who was attempting this spring to follow in his legendary father's footsteps as the Bombers punter -- was among six cuts announced by the team this morning.

The other cuts announced by the team -- which were the first of training camp -- were Australian punter Tim Hutchison, import linebacker Chad Faulcon, import defensive lineman Marcus Hyde, import defensive back Sam Pope and non-import defensive back Jawann Westerman.

With today's cuts, the Bombers now have two punters still in camp -- incumbent Mike Renaud, who's having a solid camp, and Billy Pavlopoulos, the Bombers 7th rounder in 2013.
