Firefighters put out a fire at a home on Bernier Bay this morning.
A fire at a residence on Bernier Bay in St. Boniface on Monday morning resulted in a 14-year-old girl and a firefighter taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The fire, which began about 7:40 a.m., appeared to start in the basement and is under investigation.
Firefighters broke some basement windows and knocked down the fire in the basement before it grew.
Fire officials said the damage was estimated at $150,000 to the structure and about $150,000 to the contents.
