When you see a pink fire truck rushing to an emergency, don't bother rubbing your eyes.
The unusual truck, which has been dubbed "Pinky" by fire fighters, was unveiled today at 11 a.m. at fire station 20 at 525 Banting Drive.
The eye-catching colour is to draw attention to the Pink T-shirt Campaign, which sells the shirts and gives proceeds to the Cancer Care Manitoba Breast Cancer Centre of Hope.
"This Pink Fire Truck will fight fires and respond to medical emergencies as well as assist in the battle against cancer," said firefighters' union president Alex Forrest.
The Village of Winnipegosis has two pink fire trucks.
