A British Airways plane had to make an emergency landing at James Armstrong Richardson International Airport Wednesday evening.
A spokeswoman for the Winnipeg Airports Authority said Flight 275, travelling from London’s Heathrow Airport en route to Las Vegas, was forced to stop in Winnipeg just before 7 p.m. after a male passenger on board suffered a medical emergency.
It’s not clear what the emergency was, the spokeswoman said.
The 747 plane was greeted by an ambulance and the man taken to hospital. The WAA said his travelling party has also stayed behind in Winnipeg.
The plane has since refuelled and departed for Las Vegas.
There are no other details at this time.
