The Ottawa-based all-abilities Propeller Dance troupe is bringing its unique style of enlightening entertainment to the 2010 Disability, Health and Wellness Conference, which takes place today and Tuesday at the Victoria Inn.
Propeller Dance, the only dance academy in Ontario whose mandate is to provide dance programming for young people with and without disabilities, will perform several times throughout the two-day conference, both alone and in combination with the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities All Abilities Dance Group. Propeller Dance will also lead an interactive workshop aimed at helping conference attendees embrace the notion of participation.
The goal of the Disability, Health and Wellness Conference is to allow people with disabilities to have their voices heard while discovering new means of independence and activity.
