A week after a young woman’s body was found in the Red River, police want to know who may have been the last to see her.
The last time anyone is known to have seen 19-year-old Winnipeg resident Tiffany Maureen Skye alive was on the afternoon or evening of Aug. 8, when she was spotted near The Forks and downtown.
On Aug. 13, Selkirk RCMP recovered her body from the Red River near Lockport. She had not been reported missing.
On Aug. 16, RCMP said a cause of death had not been determined after autopsy.
The RCMP is asking anyone who may have seen Skye, or been in touch with her around the time of her disappearance, to call the serious crimes unit at 984-6447.
An obituary over the weekend remembered Skye, who sometimes went by the nickname Olive, as a young woman who dreamed of being a social worker and was close with her family and foster parents.
