Environment Canada is predicting a high of 10C today – and temperatures later this week could continue to break records and rise to a balmy 18.

The weather agency says there’s a 30 per cent chance of showers this morning, but it will be mainly sunny in the afternoon, with winds gusting to 30 km/h. The forecast high for today is 10, with the existing record for March 12 in Winnipeg at 6.9C, set in 2007.

A low of -3C is expected for tonight, with clear skies.

Tuesday’s high is forecast to be 11C, with a high of 9C on Wednesday.

Then it could get toasty: A predicted high of 13C on Thursday, followed by a bump to 18C on Friday and highs of 16C and 17C on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
