A new radio station has officially joined the FM dial in Winnipeg.

Jewel 101 FM, which is located at 100.7 (formerly The Breeze), operates with an adult contemporary variety format, featuring soft pop hits from the 1970s to today.

The format is aimed at the city’s rapidly growing 35-plus demographic.

“The station possesses the largest music library in Winnipeg with over 1,800 songs,” general manager Mike Fabian said in a release. “No station in Winnipeg can offer listeners a wider variety of music.”
