Get ready for the hottest day of the year.
Later this week, that is.
Melted snow will be running down the streets on Saturday as the temperature is expected to hit a whopping 7 C under sunny skies.
As balmy as that might seem, it’s still two degrees below the seasonal high of 9 C.
In the meantime, we’ll have to endure a few more days hovering around the freezing – sorry, melting – mark. There should be a little melting today thanks to plenty of sun and the mercury climbing to 1 C.
The high temperature will be 100 per cent higher on Thursday – that’s 2 C – under a mix of sun and cloud and winds east at 20 km/h, becoming light late in the day.
Friday’s sun and forecast high of 1 C will set the table for a glorious day of kids playing on slip-and-slides and running through sprinklers (yuck, yuck).
And Sunday? Chance of snow and a high of 2 C, of course.
