The St. Boniface General Hospital has cancelled all scheduled surgeries and is not performing any emergency surgeries after operating rooms were flooded late this morning.

Hospital officials are still assessing the damage to the OR, a spokesman with the hospital said, and maintenance staff are on-site and are working to manage the leak caused by the HVAC system.

All elective cases have been cancelled and all emergency cases will be diverted to other sites, the hospital said in a news release. This situation is expected to last for several days and arrangements are being made to advise patients their procedures have been postponed a spokesman said.
