People who work with Manitobans living with special needs in group settings are now able to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
The province has expanded the eligibility to let people giving direct care to people helped by Community Living Disability Servixes, as well as from Child and Family Services, homeless shelters, and family violence shelters.
Manitoba Families will contact agencies directly to figure out which staff members meet the criteria before scheduling appointments.
As of Tuesday the province had given the vaccine to 10,749 people with 1,660 getting their second doses.
