No injuries have been reported after Winnipeg Fire and Paramedic Services tackled a small blaze in an apartment building on Redwood Avenue.
Around 4:10 a.m. Friday, crews responded to reports of a fire in a two-storey apartment in the 300 block of Redwood Avenue and encountered smoke coming from the building, WFPS said.
After launching an offensive attack the fire was deemed under control around 4:30 a.m., WFPS said, and was determined to have been contained to the suite where it started.
All residents were able to return to their suites once the fire had been put out. No injuries were reported and damage estimates are unavailable.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, WFPS said.
