Winnipeg Blue Bombers wide receiver Travis Rudolph has been arrested for first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder with a firearm.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office announced they responded to a double shooting shortly after midnight. One male was transported to the hospital and another was found deceased in West Palm Beach.

Rudolph, 25, was signed by the Blue and Gold in December 2019 but never played a snap for the club as the 2020 CFL season was cancelled.

Prior to signing in Winnipeg, the Florida State product played in the NFL in 2017 for the New York Giants, where he had eight receptions for 101 yards.

The Bombers announced on Twitter Wednesday that they have released Rudolph.
