Manitoba and North Dakota have inked an agreement to have truckers from here get vaccinated against COVID-19 while in the United States.
Premier Brian Pallister and North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum announced on Tuesday the Essential Worker Cross-border Vaccination Initiative will see truckers from Manitoba get vaccinated during the next six to eight weeks at the rest stop near Drayton on I-29.
It is estimated about 2,000 to 4,000 Manitoba truckers will receive vaccinations.
The Manitoba Trucking Association will help book vaccine appointments for truckers at the special clinic. The clinic will be open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from noon to 8 p.m.
