Provincial health officials announced 44 new cases of COVID-19 and one more death in Manitoba Wednesday.
There are 916 active cases in Manitoba, with 105 people in hospital, 29 of them in intensive care.
The five-day test positivity rate is 3.5 in Manitoba, and 2.9 in Winnipeg.
The new death is a man in his 30s from the Winnipeg health region, linked to the B.1.617.2 (delta) variant of concern.
Of the new cases announced Wednesday, 16 are in the Winnipeg health region, 11 in Southern Health; 12 in Interlake–Eastern; two in Prairie Mountain; and three in Northern Health.
