SASKATOON -- Two Manitoba teams are at the top of the women's standings on Day 5 of the Canadian Olympic Curling Trials.
Tracy Fleury of East St. Paul squeezed past a guard and removed an oppositon rock in the four-foot to score three in the extra end and defeat Jacqueline Harrison of Dundas, Ont., 9-6 to stay unbeaten Wednesday afternoon.
Fleury owns top spot at (5-0), while Jennifer Jones of Winnipeg is right behind at 5-1 after an 8-5 victory over Kelsey Rocque of Edmonton.
Gimli's Kerri Einarson, meanwhile, suffered a 6-5 loss to Krista McCarville of Thunder Bay. Both teams are 3-3.
Harrison, Casey Scheidegger and Laura Walker, both of Alberta are at 2-3, while Rachel Homan of Ottawa and Rocque are 1-4.
Just three of nine teams make the weekend playoffs.
The men's field returns to the ice at SaskTel Centre tonight.
