RCMP officers used a Taser on a man allegedly brandishing a knife on a Dauphin street Wednesday afternoon.
RCMP say police went to a weapons call on 11th Avenue SW in the northwestern Manitoba town at about 3:45 p.m., where a man was said to be inside a home with a knife.
Residents told police the suspect had left on foot, but officers found a man nearby. RCMP say he produced a knife and police pulled their guns, demanding he drop the blade. Then, police used the electric Taser on the suspect and arrested him.
