A 22-year-old man accused in two unrelated homicides has been arrested and charged.
Thunder Lightning Fontaine, 22, of Winnipeg — already wanted for the killing of Anthony Sinclair on Dec. 9 — was accused in the homicide of Angus John Maple, 40, who was shot Nov. 24 in an apartment on the 300 block of Mountain Avenue.

On Tuesday, around 1:30 a.m., Fontaine was arrested near the 500 block of Stella Avenue after a short foot chase, police said. Tim Lecoy Maple, 33 was also arrested and charged with second-degree murder in the killing of Angus Maple.
Fontaine is charged with first-degree murder in the killing of Maple, second-degree murder in the killing of Sinclair and firearms offences.
