ESTEVAN, Sask. — Cael Cavallin scored on a point shot 4:53 into the second overtime period to lift the Pickering Panthers to a 3-2 win over the Flin Flon Bombers in quarter-final action at the Centennial Cup national junior A hockey championship Friday night.
Matthew Altomare and Dustin Hutton also scored as the Ontario Junior Hockey League champs rallied from a 2-0 deficit to force overtime.
Jacob Vockler scored both goals for the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s Bombers.
Cal Schell made 37 saves in the Flin Flon net. Pickering goaltender Zachary Roy made 46 saves.
