A construction project that will bring a 3,000-square-foot accessible splash pad to the community of Whyte Ridge was announced Saturday.
The total approved budget for the project – which will also include a seating area, picnic tables, a bike rack and upgraded landscaping – is $1 million.
The funding comes from the municipal ($225,000), provincial ($400,000) and federal ($375,000) governments.
Construction is expected to break ground in August 2022, with the splash pad open to the public in the summer of 2023.
