The Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (CAIRP)

the national professional organization, CAIRP, created as a non-profit corporation in 1979 to advocate a fair, transparent and effective system of insolvency/restructuring administration throughout Canada, has recently appointed Richard W. Schwartz of Tapper Cuddy LLP to its board of directors at their AGM in Charlottetown.

Diabetes Canada

Michael McMullen ICD.D, a resident of La Salle, was elected to the board of directors at the 2018 AGM. McMullen joins the board of Diabetes Canada with extensive board experience in the not-for-profit sector. He is a governor and a past chairman of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, and among other roles is currently vice-chairman of the Aboriginal Chamber of Commerce.

AWARDS

Keystone Speakers, Manitoba’s premier association of professional speakers, is pleased to announce that Greg Wood, president of the Magic of Leadership, was awarded the prestigious accredited speaker designation from Toastmasters International at their August 2018 convention in Chicago. Only 81 speakers have earned this designation since it was created in 1981. Wood is just the 11th Canadian and first Manitoban to receive the accredited speaker designation.
