The Point Douglas race is looking to be a two-woman showdown.
Vivian Santos, departing councillor Mike Pagtakhan’s executive assistant, took the lead initially with 900 votes (nearly 59 per cent) and 32 polling locations reporting (of 240).
Community organizer Kate Sjoberg is following with 486 votes (roughly 31 per cent).
School trustee Dean Koshelanyk is placing a distant third with 146 votes (about 10 per cent).
