With no scheduled entertainment\, the focus remains on browsing\, connecting with vendors\, and finding unique pieces. \nSaturday\, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. continues the full vendor experience with dozens of local sellers and artists filling the hall. DESCRIPTION:An introduction to the Lingle Lab’s long-term research on coyotes\, white-tailed deer and mule deer. \nInstructor: Dr. Susan Lingle \nHow similar is the cry of a newborn deer\, bat\, seal\, or human? This workshop will begin with a short visual tour of the McIntyre Ranch\, a significant native rough fescue grassland in southern Alberta\, and an introduction to the Lingle Lab’s long-term research on coyotes\, white-tailed deer and mule deer. Dr. Lingle will then introduce methods in animal communication that her lab used to test the similarity of cries made by different species. The lab’s research has helped to reveal the tremendous evolutionary heritage in the way humans and other animals communicate and respond to emotions.
