SUMMARY:Spring School Series - Walking Tours
DESCRIPTION:This spring\, Turtle Tours is inviting school groups to The Forks for an Indigenous-led walking tour rooted in place\, story\, and connection. \nInstead of learning from a textbook\, students walk the land where thousands of years of history happened. Through storytelling and discussion\, they learn about treaties\, trade\, the rivers\, and Indigenous perspectives from guides who are connected to this place. \nIt’s a simple but powerful shift\, students don’t just learn about history\, they experience it. \nThe 60-minute tour is designed for Grades 4–12 and supports what students are already learning in the classroom\, including Social Studies\, Indigenous Studies\, Geography\, Civics\, Economics\, and oral storytelling. \nSpring bookings are open for April\, May\, and June\, with group sizes up to 30 students. \nFor teachers looking for something meaningful\, local\, and actually engaging for their students… this is it.

SUMMARY:Fred Eaglesmith\, Tif Ginn & New Band - Starbuck\, Fri Ap 24th
DESCRIPTION:Fred Eaglesmith’s spring tour will have some Outlaw attitude along with some Western latitude. Early this year in Texas they played at Willie Nelson’s Luck Festival\, and Rolling Stone reported: “The Canada-born roots-rocker played to a full house under a tent on the festival’s Revival Stage\, powering through his standards such as “I Like Trains” and “Dangerous\,” but it was Eaglesmith’s banter that endeared him to the Luck crowd.” They were among 40 other artists playing to 5000 fans that weekend. \nNext\, they are traveling to a town near you: Starbuck\, Manitoba with the full band\, Friday April 24\, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. \nThe Fred Eaglesmith Tour promises a lot of original music. With over 25 independent albums\, written over dozens of years\, Fred and Tif will always be adding to the lore. Many of Fred Eaglesmith’s songs have been recorded by other artists\, including country artists Alan Jackson (Freight Train)\, Miranda Lambert (Time to Get a Gun) and the late Toby Keith (White Rose). \nThis Fred Eaglesmith tour features a new band with drums\, bass\, electric guitars and new music. Always driving forward\, Starbuck Community Hall is the 5th stop in their spring tour. It is the most western destination they will reach\, at one of the smallest communities. It promises to be a special show if you can make it to Starbuck this Friday night. Concert Tickets can be purchased in advance at starbucktickets@gmail.com \nThank you for supporting independent Canadian music.
