Shakespeare’s beloved comedy of exile\, disguise\, and romance follows Rosalind and a cast of unforgettable characters as they escape into the Forest of Arden\, where identities shift\, love blooms\, and old conflicts give way to reconciliation. Along the way are witty fools\, mistaken identities\, and one of Shakespeare’s most famous speeches: “All the world’s a stage.” \nThe natural beauty of the Trappist grounds provides the perfect setting for the wild magic of Arden Forest\, making this joyful celebration of love\, transformation\, humour\, and human connection feel as though it has stepped directly out of the landscape itself. \nUnder the theme “Love & Legends\,” SIR’s 2026 season brings two timeless stories\, As You Like It and An Iliad (opening June 18)\, into conversation: the pastoral and the epic\, the laughter of love and the silence after battle.  \nShakespeare in the Ruins is known for transforming the historic ruins into a dynamic open-air stage where audiences are surrounded by nature\, history\, and live performance under the open prairie sky. A world where conflict consumes entire nations\, and longing becomes lament. \nRunning June 18 to July 5 at the beautiful Trappist Monastery Provincial Heritage Park\, An Iliad is the second of two productions by Shakespeare in the Ruins this summer under the theme “Love & Legends.” As You Like It runs from June 4 to July 5. \nAn Iliad serves as a reunion production\, bringing together Director Christopher Brauer\, solo performer Rodrigo Beilfuss\, and live music/soundscape by Métis drummer\, percussionist\, multi-instrumentalist\, and singer-songwriter Daniel Roy.  \nIt will be a very intimate production set against the natural beauty of the Ruins.  \nShakespeare in the Ruins is known for transforming the historic ruins into a dynamic open-air stage where audiences are surrounded by nature\, history\, and live performance under the open prairie sky.
