A new home furniture retail giant may be on its way to Winnipeg.
Bed Bath & Beyond has submitted routine plans for a 28,000-square-foot store in Kenaston Commons. A city committee is set to review plans for the McGillivray Boulevard location today.
Bed Bath & Beyond, formed in 1971, operates more than 850 stores in the United States, including outlets in Grand Forks and Fargo. It carries a wide selection of items for the bathroom, bedroom, kitchen and dining room.
The company began eyeing Winnipeg as a possible location in 2008.
