WHO knew that the man who made an afternoon game show based on vowels and consonants is a die-hard hockey fan?
Well, Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak is a Washington Capitals fan and he was in Winnipeg Thursday night with his son Patrick to watch his favourite team lose to the hometown Jets.
Before he left town, Sajak and son had lunch at the iconic North End restaurant, Kelekis.

“He had a hamburger with the works, raw onions and a Coke,” Mary Kelekis said. “He was a very nice and obliging man.”
Sajak posed with Kelekis while restaurant staff snapped a photo using Mary’s digital camera.
Sajak and his son arrived at Kelekis in a limousine and left the same way, heading, it’s believed, to the airport.
An entry on Wikipedia states that Sajak, although he lives and works in Hollywood, is a Washington Capitals season-ticket holder who flies around to take in 50 regular season games a year.
