The Andrews Street Family Centre.
In their own words:
"Our mission is to walk alongside the people of our community."
What do they do:
The centre provides a family and community program, an after-school drop-in for children six to 17 at its Pritchard Place Drop-in Centre, and the aboriginal head start program for aboriginal children. It also offers a food-buying club, meal and snack programs and assistance to community members seeking employment.
Their Christmas hope:
That people do not feel alone at Christmas, and that everybody has people in their lives who they love, and who love them.
How you can help:
The Andrews Street Family Centre takes cash donations all year round. One of its biggest needs is food. The centre takes donations of gently used clothes, toys and household items. Anybody wishing to donate can drop off donations at 220 Andrews St. during regular business hours or call 589-1721.
