Firefighters were still on the scene at 6:30 a.m. today for a fire that started about 10 p.m. Monday night in an auto body shop near the corner of Lorette Avenue and Pembina Highway.
The fire started in J Max Collision and Repair, a single-storey wood-frame building.
Firefighters arrived to find extensive fire in the ceiling and roof of the building. Two aerial ladders had to be used to fight the blaze.
There were no injuries. The cause is under investigation. A damage estimate is not yet available.
Crews are standing watch and dousing hot spots this morning.
Despite the equipment on the scene, it appears drivers won't be affected on their morning commute.
