Winnipeggers will soon be asked how they would set the budget if they controlled the city’s purse strings.
The city has asked MNP, a business advisory firm, to hold five public workshops for pre-budget consultation in the next two weeks.
The first meeting will be at Highbury School in St. Vital on June 18, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., followed by Victoria Community Club in Fort Garry on June 19, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., Buchanan hall, Assiniboine West Recreation Association in St. James-Assiniboia West on June 22, from 12:30 to 3 p.m., Park City Community Centre in Transcona on June 26 from 6:30 to 9 p.m., and Garden City Community Centre in West Kildonan from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
As well, Winnipeggers will also be able to participate in an on-line survey, or send in written submissions either by mail or email at firstname.lastname@example.org and phone a comment line at 1-877-780-8683.
